VARIOUS COMBINATIONS OF CAMERA MOVEMENTS USING DOLLY TRACKS FOLLOWING 'CIRCLES AND ARCS FROM THE MIDPOINTS OF FOUR SIDES', 2012
- Installation of soft camera tracks on the floor,
- 18 ink drawings on print, 20x28cm, framed (ink intervention on reprinted Sol Lewitt drawing on architectural map),
- site specific video.
ENG – In this protocole, camera movements are created with dolly tracks, following a geometrical drawing based on Sol Lewitt's print entitled CIRCLES AND ARCS FROM THE MIDPOINTS OF FOUR SIDES . This drawing is printed on top of the architectural plan of the exhibition space. The film created through this process should be realised and exhibited in the same space, making it a site specific film.

MIDDAY
41 pieces of yellow painted steel arranged on the floor, 450 cm x 250 cm aproximatively, 2011
ENG – I have reconstructed Anthony Caro’s 1960 steel sculpture ‘Midday’ (without knowing its original shape) by following the description of a museum audio-guide (MoMA NY). The soundtrack provides a description of the sculpture given by a curator of the collection. This results to 41 pieces of yellow painted steel arranged on the floor, on a surface of approximately 450 x 250 cm. The idea of this work is to measure how shape is transformed when mediated and communicated.
